I work between my beautiful studio in a decommissioned 19th-century asylum in Beechworth Victoria, and my home in neighbouring Yackandandah. Both of these towns are historic gold rush towns nestled in the hills of Dhudhuroa and Jiathmathang country. The beauty of the nature here provides endless inspiration for my work.
Best known for my intricate portraits of nature and finely detailed patterns, my practice has grown to include large-scale murals & window designs that celebrate the natural world on an immersive scale.

I studied Fine Art (Painting) at RMIT University in Naarm (Melbourne), graduating with Honours in 2009. Formal training laid a strong foundation in traditional techniques, which I now weave into a style that is both contemporary and quietly nostalgic.

My work has been described as delicate and evocative—blending fine detail with a reverence for nature and a timeless, storytelling charm.

I find a strange comfort in the Welsh word Hiraeth, which refers to the distant pain of a spiritual longing for a home that perhaps never actually existed, or a nostalgia for places that we can never return to. It is said that it echoes in the lost places of our soul’s past and in our grief for them. It is simultaneously nowhere and everywhere at once. There is an element of Hiraeth in every line that I draw on the page.

I am drawn to the juxtaposition of light and dark, beauty and ugliness, joy and sorrow - seemingly opposing elements that are intertwined - and this continues to inform my practice every day.
