Based on Dhudhuroa Country (Yackandandah) in rural Victoria Australia and surrounded by the stunning nature of the high country, I find endless inspiration in these lands.
Best known for my intricate portraits of nature and finely detailed patterns, my practice has recently grown to include large-scale murals that celebrate the natural world on an immersive scale.
I studied Fine Art (Painting) at RMIT University in Naarm (Melbourne), graduating with Honours in 2009. Formal training laid a strong foundation in traditional techniques, which I now weave into a style that is both contemporary and quietly nostalgic.
My work has been described as delicate and evocative—blending fine detail with a reverence for nature and a timeless, storytelling charm.
Some of my favourite things are
noticing tiny details and patterns in nature
fungi
entomology
symbolism
interesting faces
the beauty of decay
These and a myriad of other awe inspiring elements of nature inform my practice.
